Jon won the OCR World Championships every year from 2014 to 2019, covering both the short and classic distances at the annual event in Essex, UK. His 2015 win at OCR World Championships 2015 followed his breakthrough 2014 season. The 2019 edition, where he also took the OCR Series World Final, is covered in posts on the News and Blog section.
After building a base in OCR, Jon focused more on mountain ultras and skyraces while living and training in Norway. His biggest trail result came at the 2019 IAU Trail World Championships in Coimbra, where he won gold over 44 km. Read the full story in the Trail World Championships 2019 race report.
Jon has won the Skyrunner Extreme World Series overall twice (2016 and 2017), the Skyrunner Overall World Series in 2017, and the Ultra Skyrunning World Championships in 2018. He has multiple wins at Tromsø Skyrace, including victories in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Spartan Race titles include World Champion in 2014 and 2018, Trifecta World Champion in 2018, and multiple European Championship wins. Jon also won Tough Guy in 2015 and 2017, Worlds Toughest Mudder (100 miles with Ryan Atkins) in 2016, and Tougher Mudder World Championship in 2018.
After a quieter 2020, Jon returned to international racing in 2021 with wins and podiums at UTMB OCC, Åre Fjellmaraton, Spartan European Championships, Marato Pirineu and Le Grand Trail des Templiers. Full write-ups are on the News and Blog, including Le Grand Trail des Templiers and UTMB OCC.
